William Henry

Decatur – William Roy “Rabbit” Henry, 60, of Decatur passed away at 6:03 a.m. January 15, 2011 in Memorial Medical Center, Springfield.

Graveside services will be at 2:00p.m., Thursday January 20, 2011 in the Mt. Zion Cemetery. Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, Mt. Zion is assisting the family with services. Following the committal service the family will have a time of remembrance at The Den located at corner of Route 48 and Rock Springs Rd.  They invite all to come and share memories of his life with them.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.  Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at www.dawson-wikoff.com.

William was born December 14, 1950 in Decatur, the son of Cecil and Avis (Adams) Henry.  He worked as a truck driver for many years until his disability.  He was an avid race car fan.

Surviving is his brother: Herb Henry of Mt. Vernon, IL; sisters: Shirley DeWitt of Decatur and Barbara Appelt of Assumption, IL; many nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Joe and John, and his sister: Mildred.
