Decatur – William Roy “Rabbit” Henry, 60, of Decatur passed away at 6:03 a.m. January 15, 2011 in Memorial Medical Center, Springfield.
Graveside services will be at 2:00p.m., Thursday January 20, 2011 in the Mt. Zion Cemetery. Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, Mt. Zion is assisting the family with services. Following the committal service the family will have a time of remembrance at The Den located at corner of Route 48 and Rock Springs Rd. William was born December 14, 1950 in Decatur, the son of Cecil and Avis (Adams) Henry. He worked as a truck driver for many years until his disability. He was an avid race car fan.
Surviving is his brother: Herb Henry of Mt. Vernon, IL; sisters: Shirley DeWitt of Decatur and Barbara Appelt of Assumption, IL; many nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Joe and John, and his sister: Mildred.

So sorry to read of " Rabbit's" passing away. Although he was several years younger than myself, I have many memories of the days spent playing ball in the street. I always enjoyed spending those days with him. My deepest sympathies go to all the remaining family. May God bless all of you.
